Nas tops US album chart

Hip-hop veteran Nas has nabbed his third No. 1 album with "Hip Hop is Dead," which sold 355,000 copies during its first week in stores.

Close on its heels was the Disney soundtrack "Hannah Montana ," which inched up one slot to No. 2 with 349,000 copies sold. The hits compilation "Now 23" sold 313,000 copies, moving up one notch to No. 3 on The Billboard 200 chart.

Carrie Underwood 's "Some Hearts" jumps two notches to No. 4 with 292,000 sold, while The Beatles ' "Love" sold 282,000 copies to round out the Top 5, according to Billboard, which bases its album chart on Nielsen SoundScan retail-sales reports.

The remainder of the Top 10 includes Bow Wow 's "The Price of Fame," Josh Groban's "Awake," Chris Daughtry's self-titled debut, Justin Timberlake's "FutureSex/LoveSounds" and Akon's "Konvicted."
