Ciara chalks up a No. 1 debut week
Pop singer Ciara 's latest set, "Ciara: The Evolution," sold 338,000 copies during its first week in stores, vaulting the set to the top of the US album chart.
Ciara fought off strong competition from the hip-hop compilation "Eminem Presents: The Re-Up," which sold 309,000 copies to debut at No. 2, and Gwen Stefani 's "The Sweet Escape," which moved 243,000 copies and enters The Billboard 200 chart at No. 3.
The Disney soundtrack "Hannah Montana " slips two notches to No. 4 with 243,000 copies sold, while the hits compilation "NOW 23" falls one place to No. 5 with 185,000 sold, according to Billboard, which bases its album chart on Nielsen SoundScan retail-sales reports.
Rounding out the Top 10 are Il Divo 's "Siempre," Chris Daughtry's "Daughtry," The Beatles' "Love," Sarah McLachlan's "Wintersong" and Carrie Underwood's "Some Hearts."
