Additional, yet-to-be-named artists from the soundtrack will also join in, according to a press release. Aside from Everclear and Jonny Lives!, the soundtrack also features Hanson, The Exies, Buckcherry, Marion Raven, Punchline, Brandtson, The Starlight Mints, The Lashes, The Alternate Routes, The Ordinary Boys, Reuben, The Skies of America, David Hopkins and The Tossers.
Advance tickets for the Van Wilder Rock Tour can be purchased at the House of Blues website on Dec. 12. Tickets go on sale through Ticketmaster (LiveDaily's parent company) Dec. 16.
Throughout November, Everclear's Art Alexakis and Jonny Lives!'s Jonny Dubowsky drummed up publicity for the tour by playing live at college campuses and radio and TV stations across the country. Tour organizers also took votes from fans on IVP New Media's website to determine the cities the bands would visit.
The "Van Wilder" soundtrack kicks off with the Jonny Lives! single "Get Steady" from the band's upcoming debut album of the same name. That song, Everclear's "Hater" and a couple of others are streaming at the "Van Wilder" soundtrack's MySpace page.
