Two cuts--Neil Young 's "Comes a Time/Sugar Mountain" medley, and Young and Dave Matthews performing "Cortez the Killer"--are available only when purchasing the complete set.
The compilation features tracks from many of Young's special guests during the acoustic-only benefit's run, including Bruce Springsteen, Bright Eyes, Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young, Dave Matthews Band, Green Day, James Taylor, John Mellencamp, Lou Reed, Metallica, Pearl Jam, Phish, Red Hot Chili Peppers, R.E.M., Smashing Pumpkins, The Pretenders, Thom Yorke, Tom Waits, Wilco, Willie Nelson and others.
The Bridge School serves severely speech-impaired children in the San Francisco Bay Area. Young's wife, Pegi, and Jim Forderer--both parents of children with severe speech and physical impairments--co-founded the school in 1986 along with Dr. Marilyn Buzolich. All proceeds from the digital box set will be donated to the school.
The most recent Bridge School Benefit , which ran Oct. 21-22 at the San Francisco Bay Area's Shoreline Amphitheatre, featured Young with guests Pearl Jam, Dave Matthews, Foo Fighters and others.
