Katharine McPhee's 'Idols Live' debut delayed

"American Idol" runner-up Katherine McPhee, who was expected to make her debut on the tour's spin-off tour Thursday night (7/27), was again a no-show.

The singer was planning to join the "American Idols Live " tour in Pittsburgh, but a flight delay due to severe weather in the Northeastern US scotched those plans, according to the fan site katharinefans.com. McPhee missed the first three weeks of the tour due to a bout with bronchitis and laryngitis.

McPhee now is expected to join the tour tonight (7/28) in Washington, DC.

Before the show, she and the other "American Idol" finalists on the tour are scheduled to have a meet-and-greet photo-op with President George W. Bush at the White House, a Fox-TV publicist told the Associated Press.

The "American Idols Live" tour has been traveling the US without McPhee since its July 6 launch.

As previously reported, the "American Idols Live" tour features the show's latest winner, Taylor Hicks , as well as finalists McPhee, Paris Bennett, Bucky Covington, Chris Daughtry, Mandisa, Kellie Pickler, Lisa Tucker, Elliot Yamin and Ace Young.
