Thursday, Rise Against stay linked after Warped Tour

Currently on the road together as part of this year's Vans Warped Tour , fellow rockers Thursday and Rise Against plan to mount their own co-headlining tour this fall.

So far, the two groups have locked in a batch of seven dates that kick off in late October, and more dates will be announced. Details are included below.

"We're out on the Warped Tour and having a blast with a bunch of our friends," reads a recent blog entry posted at Thursday's MySpace website. "In fact, we're having such a good time with our buddies in Rise Against that we've worked out plans for a fall tour with them. ... Seriously, this is like totally going to be the best fall tour ever."

"Thursday and Rise Against have been playing shows together since about six years ago, and the friendships and mutual respect accrued in those years are the fuel that will drive this upcoming tour," reads a blog entry on Rise Against's MySpace site. "We can't wait."

New Jersey-based Thursday is backing its May release, "A City by the Light Divided," which is the group's fifth studio album, and second for Island Def Jam. The disc features the cut "Counting 5-4-3-2-1," the music video for which is streaming at Thursday's website.

"The Sufferer and the Witness," the latest from Chicago's Rise Against, hit stores earlier this month and features group's latest single, "Ready to Fall." The "Ready to Fall" music video is streaming at the band's website, which describes the clip as "the most important video Rise Against has ever made."

"This video transcends our band and our music and talks about a much bigger picture, a picture that affects each of us," reads a message posted at the site. "I hope people check this video out and then share it with their friends and loved ones. We are all witness' to the suffering that our planet and its people endure, the only question now is: what will we do about it?"
