Tool pumps up tour schedule

Rockers Tool have tripled the size of the itinerary for a tour behind their latest album, "10,000 Days," that kicks off early next month and now stretches into the fall.

The group, which announced nine August shows last month, has added one more August stop and 17 September concerts to its docket. The route covers territory from the East Coast to the West Coast, as shown below, and more dates are expected, according to Tool's website.

In addition to rolling out the new shows, Tool has also tapped Isis to hold down the opening slot during the upcoming run for all shows from Aug. 22 on.

Released in May, "10,000 Days" is Tool's fourth studio album and its first since 2001's "Lateralus." The disc moved about 550,000 copies during its first week in stores, which earned it a No. 1 debut on The Billboard 200 chart.

Isis recently finished mixing its first new studio collection since 2004's "Panopticon," and plans to release the set on Halloween, according to the band's website.
