
Though the band still hasn't settled on a title, a new album is due in stores from The Killers on Oct. 2.
The set--which follows the group's hit 2004 debut, "Hot Fuss," was recorded in The Killers' hometown of Las Vegas, with producers Flood and Alan Moulder turning the knobs.
Medeski Martin & Wood have linked with jazz guitarist John Scofield to record a new album dubbed "Out Louder," due in stores Sept. 26.
The group--which first recorded together on Scofield's 1998 set, "A Go Go"--is billed on the forthcoming album as Medeski Scofield Martin & Wood.
"'A Go Go' was John's record and we were essentially sidemen, where "Out Louder" musically comes from all of us," Wood said in a press release.
Atlanta rapper Pastor Troy will issue a new album dubbed "By Choice or By Force" on July 25.
The set follows 2002's "Universal Soldier," which--thanks in part to the Timbaland-produced single "Are We Cuttin'"--topped the Billboard rap chart.
Milan Williams, a founding member of The Commodores , reportedly died of cancer Sunday (7/9) at a Houston hospital. He was 58.
Williams, who played keyboards, wrote the group's first hit, the instrumental "Machine Gun."
