Ozzy Osbourne will headline his namesake festival's second stage in three additional cities this summer, bringing his total number of planned second-stage Ozzfest appearances to six.
Osbourne's newly announced second-stage gigs are July 4 in Albuquerque, NM, July 18 in Burgettstown, PA, and June 27 in Darien Center, NY.
As previously reported, Osbourne will also headline the main stage at seven other Ozzfest shows. Details are in the itinerary below.
Meanwhile, Osbourne has announced that he will play his own headlining date July 14 at the Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre in the Kansas City area. Rounding out that bill will be Black Label Society and two other acts to be announced.
Osbourne, who is now scheduled to perform at 13 of Ozzfest's 27 tour stops, announced earlier this year that he would be scaling back his participation in the festival that bears his name "because after 10 years I feel it's time to let someone else share the headlining spotlight," he said in a press release. "We want to shake it up a bit this year. I've closed virtually every Ozzfest performance for a decade now, and I feel I can finally let other artists headline our festival and that's my intention for the future."
Ozzfest's main-stage bill is set to include System of a Down, Disturbed , Avenged Sevenfold , Hatebreed and Lacuna Coil.
