Pearl Jam , currently in the midst of a US tour, has unveiled plans to play a rare theater show at Portland, OR's Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall to raise money for the Northwest Chapter of the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation of America.
The benefit is set for July 20, and tickets go on sale to the general public Saturday (6/24) at 10 a.m. Pacific Time, according to an announcement posted on Pearl Jam's website.
Joining Pearl Jam on the bill will be comic David Cross and another act to be announced.
Pearl Jam has frequently worked to support the work of the CCFA since about four years ago, when Pearl Jam guitarist Mike McCready disclosed that he suffers from Crohn's Disease, a chronic disorder that causes inflammation of the digestive or gastrointestinal tracts.
The Seattle rockers are now on the road supporting their new self-titled album, which entered the US album chart at No. 2 last month.
