Mary J. Blige has 'Breakthrough' summer tour

Mary J. Blige will back her latest album, last year's "The Breakthrough," with a summer tour that will see the R&B/soul singer take the stage in about 30 cities.

Currently, the bulk of Blige's run kicks off in mid-July, and dates stretch into early September. She also has a handful of late-June/early July shows planned. Details are included below.

Released last December, "The Breakthrough" made its debut at No. 1 on The Billboard 200 album chart. The double-platinum set features Blige's cover of the U2 classic "One," a duet that features U2 frontman Bono.

Blige and U2 performed the song together during this year's Grammy Awards ceremony, and she also turned up on the May 23 finale of "American Idol," during which she performed the song with "Idol" finalist Elliot Yamin.

"The Breakthrough" also includes the hit single "Be Without You," as well as the cut "MJB da MVP," a reworked version of The Game's "Hate It or Love It." Samples of all of the album's tracks are streaming at Blige's website.
