Raconteurs head east this fall

The Raconteurs , who last month unveiled plans for a brief summer run through the western US and Canada, will accommodate their fans in the East this September.

The indie-rock super-group--which features Jack White of The White Stripes--has lined up about a dozen new shows, including stops in Atlanta, New York and Boston.

As previously reported, the band will get things started with a round of shows that kicks off in mid-July and stretches into early August, and has added a second night to its stops in both Los Angeles and San Francisco. Details are included below.

Sandwiched between the August and September North American shows is a European trek, details for which are posted at The Raconteurs' website.

The group will warm up for its roadwork with a June 7 concert in Los Angeles, and two June 8 in-store performances: one that morning in Hollywood, and the second that evening in San Francisco. Details are included below.

The Raconteurs--which also features bassist Jack Lawrence and drummer Patrick Keeler (both from The Greenhornes), as well as acclaimed singer/songwriter Brendan Benson--are touring in support of their debut CD, "Broken Boy Soldiers," which hit stores last month. The set debuted at No. 7 on The Billboard 200 chart after moving about 61,000 copies during its first week in stores.
