Indie-rockers Bloc Party , still riding high on the success of their 2005 debut album, "Silent Alarm," will again tour the US this summer.
The British quartet will be supported on some dates by Broken Social Scene, who self-titled third album hit stores last fall, and Secret Machines, who released their third album, "Ten Silver Drops," in April.
Danish indie rockers Mew, whose latest album, "And the Glass Handed Kites," hit stores last September, will handle additional opening chores at several shows.
Bloc Party will play a June 24 gig in Toronto, followed by an appearance at Chicago's Intonation Music Festival the following day. After a month off, the band's summer tour gets underway in earnest July 28 in Boston, the first of a nine-city trek into August.
"Silent Alarm," released in February of last year, was voted Album of the Year by the British publication New Musical Express. The disc ultimately reached No. 3 on the UK album charts.
