
Tim McGraw and Faith Hill have announced plans to play a July 5 show at New Orleans Arena to benefit Hurricane Katrina recovery efforts.
In addition to donating the proceeds from the show to relief organizations in Louisiana and Mississippi (through the couple's Neighbor's Keeper Foundation), half of the floor seats will be given away to volunteer workers helping the recovery. Other tickets will be sold at a discount, according to a press release.
Nearly two months after canceling the final dates of a North American tour, reportedly so that frontman Steven Tyler could undergo vocal surgery, Aerosmith is preparing to return to the studio.
According to the group's publicist, the band will get back to work on a new Aerosmith number on May 20.
"[May 20 is] Armed Forces Day, and we're going in with guns ablazing!" Tyler said in a press release.
John Mayer, Bruce Hornsby & The Noisemakers, Tab Benoit, Hothouse Flowers and The Dirty Dozen Brass Band are among the acts scheduled to appear at this year's edition of Colorado's Telluride Blues & Brews Festival.
This year's event--the 13 annual edition--is set for Sept. 15-17 at Telluride Town Park. More details are available at the festival's website.
DMX (real name Earl Simmons) was arrested Saturday (5/13) in London after he allegedly refused to put on a seat belt and became abusive while on an American Airlines flight from New York to London, according to British news reports.
The rapper reportedly received a caution and was released after the plane landed at London's Heathrow Airport.
