Phish bandmates to reunite for summer shows

Trey Anastasio will reunite with his former Phish bandmate Mike Gordon for a series of shows this summer, including a number of dates with Phil Lesh & Friends.

Anastasio will also take to the road with his own band for a slate of shows supporting Tom Petty , kicking off June 9 in Charlotte, NC. Anastasio and his band have also booked a headlining slot at the June 25 Aspen Snowmass festival in Aspen, CO.

Oysterhead--the occasional collaboration of Anastasio, Les Claypool and Stewart Copeland--will make a June 16 appearance at the Bonnaroo Festival in Manchester, TN. It will mark the first public appearance of the group since its tour and album in 2001.

The two ex-Phish will reunite for their co-headlining duties with Lesh starting June 28 in Raleigh, NC. Anastasio, the defunct band's frontman, and bass player Gordon will then go on to play their own headlining shows, including a slot topping the bill at the July 14 All Good music festival in Masontown, WV.

Anastasio and Gordon will be backed on their shows together by keyboardist Marco Benevento and drummer Joe Russo, collectively known as The Benevento-Russo Duo.

Anastasio released "Shine" last November. The album was the guitarist's first studio effort since Phish disbanded in 2004.
