Brad Paisley expands summer tour plans

Brad Paisley , who has been on the road for most of the year, has penciled in more shows as he continues to back last year's "Time Well Wasted."

Paisley has filled many of the blanks in his itinerary, with new dates on tap for each of the coming months through September. Following the late-May conclusion of his spring outing, he'll take a short break before returning to the stage in mid-June.

Most of the singer's remaining May performances feature Sara Evans and Josh Turner, while Eric Church has been tapped for a number of the summer shows. Details are included below.

On May 23, three days after wrapping up his spring outing, Paisley will learn whether he's won any of the six Academy of Country Music Awards for which he was nominated back in March. He's vying for Top Male Vocalist of the Year, Album of the Year for "Time Well Wasted," Single Record of the Year for "Alcohol," and Song of the Year, Video of the Year and Vocal Event of the Year for "When I Get Where I'm Going," a duet with Dolly Parton.

The 41st Annual Academy of Country Music Awards will be broadcast live May 23 by CBS-TV from the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

Released last August, "Time Well Wasted" sold about 193,000 copies during its first week in stores, marking the most albums Paisley has ever sold during a one-week period. The strong first-week performance landed the disc in the top slot on Billboard's Top Country Albums chart, and at No. 2 on The Billboard 200.
