Rikki Rockett Cleared Of Rape Charges

Rikki Rockett has been cleared of rape charges after Mississippi authorities determined the Poison drummer was not even in the state when the alleged crime took place.

Authorities reportedly found that Rockett, who was accused of raping a woman at a central Mississippi casino in September 2007, was in California at the time of the incident, watching his fiancee try on wedding dresses.

Police arrested Rockett, whose real name is Richard Ream, in March at Los Angeles International Airport upon his return from a concert in New Zealand.

Police are now looking for John Minskoff, whom authorities say has a history of passing himself off as a rock musician to pick up women, according to an Associated Press report.

Rockett held an exoneration benefit party last weekend (6/25) to raise money for Centurion Ministries, which aids those who have been wrongly convicted of crimes. The drummer is in Utah rehearsing for the upcoming Poison tour, which kicks off tonight (7/3) at EnergySolutions Arena in Salt Lake City.
