Widespread Panic Sets In On Bonnaroo

Jam-band icons Widespread Panic will close out this year's Bonnaroo festival, a move that helps fill the vacancy left by The Allman Brothers Band, who recently bowed out of the event.

"We are extremely excited to be invited back for our 7th gig at Bonnaroo," Widespread Panic said in a prepared statement. "Bonnaroo is always a blast. We hope to have plenty of surprises for the fans."

Set to take place June 12-15 at its permanent home in Manchester, TN, the event will now see singer/songwriter Jack Johnson--the originally scheduled Sunday headliner--move into the Allmans' planned Saturday timeslot, just prior to Pearl Jam's performance.

The Allman Brothers have been forced to scrap a number of shows in recent weeks while founding member and lead vocalist Gregg Allman recovers from the side effects of his recent treatments for the Hepatits C virus, according to a press release.
