Tuesday on-sales set for Austin City Limits fest

Though the official lineup announcement is just over three weeks away, Austin City Limits Festival fans will be able to purchase tickets and VIP packages to the October event beginning Tuesday (4/7).

Three-day passes for the eighth annual ACL Fest will go for $160, which includes all service fees, and VIP credentials will set one back $850 a person. All tickets will be available through the festival's website beginning at 10 a.m. Central Time April 7.

This will be the second round of tickets sold; subscribers to the festival email list received the opportunity to snag "Early Bird" passes for $135 each last October, just a month after the 2008 event. Those reduced three-day tickets sold out quickly.

The official lineup of 130-plus acts will be unveiled April 28, according to the festival site. Last year's roster featured Foo Fighters, Beck, Manu Chao, John Fogerty, David Burne, The Mars Volta, N.E.R.D. and The Raconteurs, among others.
