Treasure Island Music Fest returns this fall

San Francisco's Treasure Island Music Festival has survived the recession and will be back this fall for its third annual production.

The two-day event, which takes place on Treasure Island in the middle of San Francisco Bay, will divide the genres by day, featuring electronica and dance music on two stages Saturday, and switching the focus to national and local indie acts Sunday. The grounds will also include a 60-foot tall Ferris wheel and a vendor village with interactive arts.

"The third edition of TIMF promises to be the best yet," said Noise Pop founder and festival host Kevin Arnold, "as we present another action-packed weekend of premier indie and electronic talent and myriad other diversions in what we think is the most majestic festival setting in the world."

The full artist roster and ticketing information will be announced this summer at the festival's website.
