Thursday plots 'Existence' on road
Post-hardcore band Thursday is set to continue its latest headlining road trip, filling most of October with dates in support of the group's most recent album, "Common Existence."
The trek, which launched last week in Lawrence, KS, continues tonight (10/5) in Seattle, with the 20-city outing running through an Oct. 25 show in New York City. Details are included below.
"Common Existence," the band's fifth studio album, emerged in February. The set is the first group's first release since signing last year with Epitaph Records.
"We basically spent over a year writing it," drummer Tucker Rule said of the new album in an interview with LiveDaily earlier this year. "We had a lot of material, as this was our fifth full length. We're the same band but we were trying to do different things--but we didn't want to go too far away from who we are.
"After all these years and knowing each other so well, you really have to hone your ears into what you want to play. It's different when there's six people in the band. Little small details get changed. But it was hard. It took a long time. We didn't have a label, so we were going through that, as well. It was pretty trying."
