The Used team with Twitter for album release party

The Used will kick off the release of their upcoming album, "Artwork," with a Twitter listening party on Monday (8/31), according to a press release. The so-called "tweet-for-ticket" 24-hour listening party will allow fans to stream the entire album in exchange for one tweet on the release date.

Fans can turn their social Twitter updates into a ticket for the listening party by tweeting the suggested message: "You can listen to the new @wearetheused album #Artwork today for 24 hours only at http://twitter.theused.net/. ONE TWEET GETS YOU IN."

Once "inside" the listening party, fans will be able to stream two B-Sides, "On The Cross" (Save Yourself Mix) and "In A Needle," in addition to the new release.

The Twitter listening party also will allow fans the opportunity to purchase "Artwork" via Apple's iTunes store, Rhapsody or TheUsed.net.
