The Cult, Old 97's take on Musink fest
The Cult and Old 97's will each headline one weekend of the third annual Musink tattoo convention and music festival scheduled for early next year.
The three-day event will first set up camp Feb. 19-21 in Costa Mesa, CA. Confirmed bands for the West Coast weekend include The Cult, The Damned, Buzzcocks, Face to Face and The Headcat, featuring Motorhead's Lemmy Kilmister and Stray Cats' Slim Jim Phantom.
Nearly two months later, the festival will head east for a weekend (4/9-4/11) in Dallas, with Old 97's, Shooter Jennings, Lucero and Roger Alan Wade scheduled to take the stage. More acts will be announced soon, according to a press release.
Each festival will also host hundreds of tattoo artists, as well as vendors and pro skaters like Tony Alva, Steve Olsen and Duane Peters, among others.
Tickets for both events are available now via Ticketmaster. (LiveDaily is an operating unit of Ticketmaster Entertainment, which also owns Ticketmaster.)
The Cult recently wrapped up a quick US club tour as the band continues supporting its 2007 release, "Born Into This," while Old 97's unveiled the group's seventh studio set, "Blame It On Gravity," in 2008.
