Radiohead's Thom Yorke readies new single

Radiohead frontman Thom Yorke announced today via the band's website that he's prepping two songs--"FeelingPulledApartbyHorses" and "Hollow Earth"--over the coming weeks.

Yorke--who, like his band, doesn't have a long-term label deal--will sell the limited-edition 12" vinyl single via Radiohead's website beginning Sept. 21. Fans who buy the vinyl edition will receive digital downloads of the songs, as well. On Oct. 6, the tracks will be available via traditional online retailers.

According to Yorke's statement on Radiohead's website, he wrote and played "Feeling...," a song that dates back to around 2001, with Radiohead guitarist Jonnny Greenwood. "The Hollow Earth" "was born out of the 'Eraser' period but needed a little more time," he wrote. "The Eraser" is Yorke's 2006 solo album.

Both of the new tracks were produced by longtime Radiohead producer Nigel Godrich.
