PJ Harvey, John Parish line up summer dates
Alt-rock queen PJ Harvey and guitarist/songwriter John Parish will hit the road in June for additional US dates behind their latest joint effort, "A Woman a Man Walked By."
Harvey and Parish--backed on the road by Eric Drew Feldman, Giovanni Ferrario and Jean Marc Butty--kick off the 10-city outing June 2 in Atlanta. The pair played a few shows last month, including dates in New York City and Los Angeles, around the time of the album's release.
"A Woman a Man Walked By," which follows Harvey and Parish's 1996 debut effort as a duo, "Dance Hall at Louse Point," was recorded in Bristol and Dorset in the UK, and mixed by megaproducer Flood (U2, Nine Inch Nails).
Harvey, whose most recent solo effort was 2007's "White Chalk," provides the vocals and the lyrics; Parish, who wrote the music, plays guitar. The set hit store shelves late last month.
The pair worked together in the band Automatic Dlamini in the late '80s before Harvey left to begin her solo career, while Parish went on to produce albums by Tracy Chapman and Eels, among others.
