Pavement reunion grows to four dates

Indie-rockers Pavement , who confirmed yesterday that they're reuniting for dates around the world next year, are now set to play four shows at Rumsey Playfield in New York's Central Park.

Strong ticket demand during pre-sales on Friday (9/18) led promoters AEG Live to add three additional shows--Sept. 22, 23 and 24--to follow the initially announced Sept. 21, 2010 show. Information about the pre-sales is available at the Matador Records website. The general on-sale is scheduled for Sept. 25.

The 5,000-capacity Rumsey Playfield is just the first confirmed stop on the tour, which will be the band's first road trip since splitting up in 1999.
