Southern California ska-pop outfit No Doubt [ tickets ] has assembled an extensive North American amphitheater tour that will keep the band on the road from early June through early August in support of the just-released album "Return of Saturn." Alt-rockers Lit [ tickets ] and alt-rappers Black Eyed Peas [ tickets ] have signed on as opening acts.

Tickets to nine of the shows are scheduled to go on sale Friday and Saturday (4/14-15). Additional on-sale dates weren't immediately available.

"Ex-Girlfriend," the first single from "Return of Saturn," is a hit on alternative rock radio; its video has garnered significant airplay on MTV. The album comes five years after the release of the quartet's smash breakthrough, ''Tragic Kingdom.''

No Doubt will wrap up a short theater tour with two concerts this week: a Friday (4/14) stop at the Universal Amphitheatre near Los Angeles and a Saturday (4/15) gig at The Warfield in San Francisco.

The band is also scheduled to perform at the Virgin Megastore in Costa Mesa, Calif., on Thursday (4/13). Only those with wristbands--which were distributed to those who either bought a copy of "Return of Saturn" at the store at midnight today (4/11) or won a contest on Los Angeles radio station KROQ--will be admitted to the performance.

No Doubt will make an appearance on NBC-TV's ''The Tonight Show with Jay Leno'' on Wednesday (4/12).
