Megadeth [ tickets ] will follow runs through Australia and Japan with a month-long tour of North America behind its recently released new studio effort, "Endgame."

The heavy-metal outfit will begin the trek with a handful of shows north of the border, including the tour-opener Nov. 8 in Moncton, New Brunswick. The 26-city fall excursion includes stops in Milwaukee (11/17), Fort Lauderdale (11/25), Dallas (12/2) and St. Louis (12/6), among others, and wraps with a Dec. 13 performance in Las Vegas. Machine Head, Suicide Silence, Arcanium and Warbringer will handle opening duties for the tour.

"Endgame," Megadeth's 12th studio set, hit shelves Tuesday (9/15) and marks the first release featuring guitarist Chris Broderick, who joined the band following Glen Drover's 2008 departure. The new album follows 2007's "United Abominations," which peaked at No. 8 on The Billboard 200.

Earlier this summer, singer/guitarist Dave Mustaine unveiled his intention to release an autobiography, which he co-wrote with New York Times journalist Joe Layden. The work is tentatively slated to hit retailers in late 2010, according to the band's website.

"I cried when I turned the last page," Mustaine said in an interview with Norwegian blog Lydverket. "Finally, someone has been able to put my life in print without either puffing me up too much or beating me down too hard."
