Loggins & Messina lengthen fall US run

Kenny Loggins and Jim Messina have tacked a handful of new shows onto the end of their current trek, which now extends into late November.

The '70s acoustic singing/songwriting duo continue the tour with an Oct. 30 performance in Coquitlam, British Columbia, followed by a few West Coast stops in the US. Two Hawaiian dates--Nov. 14 in Maui and Nov. 15 in Honolulu--are also on the books. Details are included below.

Loggins & Messina 's 2005 outing represented their first joint tour since 1976. The pair released "The Best: Loggins & Messina Sittin' In Again" in 2005, and followed it with a reunion tour of the US. One stop on that run became fodder for a live DVD, "Loggins and Messina Live - Sittin' in Again at Santa Barbara Bowl," which surfaced in November 2005.

Earlier this summer, Loggins unveiled on the Disney label a collection of covers directed at children entitled "All Join In." The soft-rock singer recently promoted the work on QVC, a move that many established musicians have made in recent years, including Neil Diamond and James Taylor.

"Most children's albums are strictly for the children and the parents have to listen to it whether they like it or not," Loggins explained in a press release. "My goal has been to make an album that parents love as much as the children."
