Ashlee Simpson will step out for a short tour this month to support her new album, "Bittersweet World. The just-married and pregnant 23-year-old singer is scheduled play a dozen dates in the eastern US beginning June 9 in Chicago.

Lil Wayne has put his troubles with the law on hold as he mounts a brief tour to support his soon-to-be-released album, "Tha Carter III." The rapper launched the run in Providence, RI, on Friday and currently has dates lined up through the end of the month, and the new album is due in stores June 10.

Prog-rockers Coheed and Cambria have added another round of US dates to their international tour in support of the group's latest album, "No World for Tomorrow." After wrapping up a European tour, the band will tackle a mid-summer stateside outing that launches in late July, and will bring along fellow rockers Secret Machines and Russian Circles to open most of the shows.

With his new album, "The Moon Under Water," now in stores, pop-rocker Ryan Cabrera has hit the road. The singer/songwriter will kicked things off yesterday Baltimore, and, so far, is scheduled to play a mix of clubs, theaters and radio shows around the eastern US into July.

Alt-rock quartet Built to Spill will mount an early fall headlining tour after emerging from the studio, where the group is busy working on a new album.
The Idaho-based band has lined up stops in a dozen cities, beginning with an early September two-night stand in San Francisco.
