Kenny Chesney, Taylor Swift headline first Bayou Country Superfest

Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge has landed several country superstars for its first-ever music festival to be held at LSU's Tiger Stadium, according to the university's athletics' website.

The two-day festival, scheduled over Memorial Day Weekend 2010 (5/29-30), will feature Kenny Chesney , Taylor Swift , Keith Urban and Brooks & Dunn amongst its headliners. Other artists appearing at the festival include Jason Aldean, Kellie Pickler, Jake Owen, David Nail, Gloriana and Justin Moore.

The " Bayou Country Superfest " is being produced by Quint Davis, who also produces the well-known Jazz Fest in New Orleans. He told the university's reporters that his team worked very hard to make sure the line-up for the "Superfest" lived up to its name.

"It doesn't get any more super than Kenny Cheseny, Taylor Swift, Keith Urban, Brooks & Dunn, and all the other great artists we're so thrilled to be presenting next Memorial Day Weekend at this one-of-a-kind event."

Swift will headline the May 29 concert with Urban, Pickler, Nail and Gloriana supporting. Chesney will close the May 30 show with Brooks & Dunn, Aldean, Owen and Moore in the opening slots.

Tickets for the festival go on sale Nov. 5. Special VIP upfront, stage-side, standing-room tickets in the "Golden Horseshoe" will be available in a limited supply.
