Jackson Browne goes it alone this fall
After a full year on the road with his backing band, Jackson Browne will head off on a solo acoustic tour of the US this fall for the first time since early 2008.
The singer/songwriter will kick off the journey Nov. 1 in Harrisburg, PA, stopping by theaters and auditoriums throughout the eastern half of the country. The five-week, 20-city outing will finish with a Dec. 7 performance in Des Moines, IA. Details are below.
Browne will accompany himself alternately on guitar and piano, performing a different setlist each night culled from his discography spanning 40 years, according to a press release. The musician will also take requests from the audience.
The Rock and Roll Hall of Famer released "Time The Conqueror," his most recent studio set, last year and spent most of 2009 touring behind the record with his four-piece band of 15 years.
Browne has released 11 studio albums since his 1972 self-titled debut, including his most successful, 1977's "Running on Empty," which was nominated for a 1979 Grammy Award and has sold more than 7 million copies nationwide.
