J. Tillman lines up roadwork backing new solo album
Fleet Foxes member Joshua Tillman has mapped a late-year headlining tour to back his latest solo release, "Year in the Kingdom."
Tillman, who performs and records under his first initial, J., kicks off the trek Nov. 3 in Boise, ID, and will hit 21 cities during the late-fall outing, which concludes Dec. 11 in Seattle. Dates are below.
The performer, who handles drums for Fleet Foxes, as well as chips in on vocals, plays both drums and guitar on the forthcoming "Year in the Kingdom," which is due Sept. 22 on the Western Vinyl label.
Several cuts from the set can be heard streaming at Tillman's MySpace page.
A veteran of the Pacific Northwest folk scene, Tillman joined Fleet Foxes following the 2008 release of band's "Sun Giant," in time to help the group support its self-titled debut album on the road last summer.
