Talib Kweli, David Banner headline Hip Hop Live! tour

Rappers Talib Kweli and David Banner head up the roster for the upcoming Hip Hop Live! tour, which hits concert stages this fall.

The outing, which is being presented by hip-hop video-sharing website Flow TV, also features alternating opening support from Little Brother and B.O.B, along with the 10-piece live band Rhythm Roots All Stars, who will provide musical backing for all performers.

The tour kicks off Sept. 28 in San Diego, CA, and will hit 15 cities through late October. All dates are shown below.

Kweli's most recent solo album, last fall's "Eardrum," features production assistance from Kanye West, Black Eyed Peas' Will.I.Am, Madlib and Hi-Tek, with guests on the album including Norah Jones, Jean Grae and UGK.

In a statement, Kweli said that the album's title comes from "the image of the ear and of the drum, which are powerful enough by themselves, but put them together and it's an instrument in your body that helps you hear. They're also two very simple, yet powerful words. I wanted to focus on finding a sound that makes you move, and that's where the word 'eardrum' popped in my head."

Banner's fifth studio album, "The Greatest Story Ever Told," hit stores in July. The set has spawned three singles: "9mm," "Get Like Me" and the most recent, "Shawty Say," which was sent to radio stations the first week in August.
