Electronica/funk duo Ghostland Observatory [ tickets ] will head out on the road next month for a slate of late-year headlining club dates.

The pair--vocalist/guitarist Aaron Behrens and producer/drummer/keyboardist Thomas Turner--will kick off the outing with an Oct. 3 appearance at hometown Austin, TX's Austin City Limits Festival. A headlining appearance in the same city will follow a night later, with the duo currently scheduled to visit 23 cities before the trek concludes Dec. 12 in Charlotte, NC. Dates are below.

Ghostland Obervatory continues to support last year's "Robotique Majestique," its third full-length studio album. Released on the group's own label, the record continues the duo's mission of making music that's "sweaty, raw-boned and direct from the future, committed to electronics, stuck on big beats, yet unmistakably powered by rock and roll," as laid out in a press release.

The set follows 2006's "Paparazzi Lightning" and 2005's "delete.delete.i.eat.meat," also released on the band's own Trashy Moped Recordings.

The band has attracted attention for its flashy live show, which includes lasers and fog machines, as well as the pair's colorful attire.

"We're definitely trying to be like a bright light," Turner told Urb Magazine last year. "The lasers are all about creating these positions to where there’s a mood. As soon as the lasers come on and the lights fire up, you can see people's eyes get big and their mouths open. When it's done right, it should all be in sync. Aaron's dancing, the lights, the lasers, the sound, everything should swirl into this frenzy."
