Gary Allan previews new material on extended run

Gary Allan has lengthened a summer itinerary that has the country crooner hitting fairs and rodeos across the nation for nearly three months.
Beginning July 2 in Cincinnati, the California-born performer will climb on the tour bus, stopping by fairgrounds, casinos and theaters in 34 cities from coast to coast through late September. Details are below.
The platinum-selling country star has a new album scheduled to hit retailers this fall; the effort's first single, "Today," is currently in rotation at radio stations nationwide.
"Living Hard," Allan's most recent release, surfaced in October 2007 and reached No. 3 on Billboard's Top Country Albums chart. The studio set features the hit songs "Learning How to Bend," "She's So California" and "Watching Airplanes."
"I feel like I've got this young crowd with me now, I've got these rocker kids in my audience," Allan stated on his website. "I feed off the audience, whatever they're really wanting is what they drag out of me. I've got the edgy side of the country crowd--and I want to keep them."
Allan previewed material from the new record at his fan-club party June 9 in Nashville and, according to CMT.com, the country singer said he'd recently recorded a duet of a Buddy and Julie Miller-penned song alongside LeAnn Rimes.
