Gary Allan plans to 'Get Off on Pain' this fall
Gary Allan has again extended his current tour ahead of his his still-untitled forthcoming album, adding concert dates that spill into 2010.
The country singer continues the push tonight (9/25) in Thackerville, OK, followed by a handful of fair and casino performances through early October. Beginning Oct. 14 in Chicago, Allan and crew will mix it up with the "Get Off on the Pain" tour, a 22-city run which will include some more intimate venues among the typical arena shows.
The extensive excursion, which will feature special guests Jack Ingram and the Eli Young Band on select dates, includes a New Year's Eve fan-club concert in Las Vegas and one 2010 show slated for Feb. 6 in Robinsonville, MS. The full schedule is shown below.
Alan most recently released "Living Hard," the platinum selling artist's seventh studio set, in late 2007. A new album is expected to hit retailers by year's end, according to Allan's website, though details are limited. The new effort's first single, "Today," is currently streaming at the musician's MySpace page.
Last month, Allan and his band lost all their equipment in a tornado that struck the Big Valley Jamboree in Alberta, Canada.
"It's been really weird lately because everybody's got new stuff," Allan said in a statement posted at his website. "We're replacing every guitar and some we had since we were 10 or 11. Even our bus got totaled. We came out of Canada that weekend as just a bunch of dudes with dreams."
