Foo Fighters join President Obama at July 4 event
Alt-rock icons Foo Fighters on Saturday (7/4) joined President Barack Obama for a special USO concert on the South Lawn of the White House, where the group entertained an audience of more than 1,200 active military troops and their families.
During the event, Foo Fighters unveiled a new tune titled "Wheels," one of two new tracks that the band--Dave Grohl, Taylor Hawkins, Nate Mendel and Chris Shiflett--recently recorded with producer Butch Vig at the group's 606 studio complex in California.
The new songs are scheduled to appear on an in-the-works best-of set due out this November, according to the group's publicist.
