Cold War Kids ready new EP, January road trip
Indie rockers Cold War Kids will drop a new four-track EP in January ahead of a brief slate of road dates, with hints of a new full-length release to follow.
The short outing kicks off Jan. 22 in Los Angeles, and also includes stops in San Francisco (1/23), New York City (1/29) and Chicago (1/30). Tickets are on sale now, and the full schedule is included below.
"Behave Yourself," a four-track EP containing four new songs, is scheduled to arrive in stores Jan. 19 on the Downtown label.
"We are in the studio now writing and recording so we are only going to do 4 shows in January," the the band wrote on its website in a news item announcing the EP.
Assuming the recording the band is doing is going toward a new studio album, the set would follow last year's "Loyalty to Loyalty." Released in September, the group's sophomore album peaked at No. 21 on The Billboard 200 chart, spawning the single "Something Is Not Right With Me," which hit No. 39 on Billboard's singles chart.
