Billy Bragg to spread 'Justice' on summer tour

English folk-rock singer Billy Bragg has lined up a run of North American dates this summer to support his forthcoming new album, "Mr. Love & Justice."

The veteran singer/songwriter will back the disc with a nine-city tour, kicking off the run June 5 in Vancouver. Dates are below.

Bragg returns to the UK after the American shows for another round of dates in Great Britain and Ireland. Check the singer's official website for his complete overseas schedule.

Set for US release April 22, "Mr. Love & Justice" is Bragg's 12th studio album, and second with his new backing band, The Blokes.

The video for the new album's "O Freedom" is streaming at Bragg's label site.

Bragg's previous studio effort, 2002's "England, Half-English," featured the single "Take Down the Union Jack," a protest song against Queen Elizabeth II's Golden Jubilee celebrations. The song netted the politically active singer the No. 22 spot on the UK singles chart.
