Anti-Flag maps early 2010 'Party' with pals

Anti-Flag will hit the road early next year to party in the face of adversity along with a few friends, including Aiden and Cancer Bats.

The politically charged band's "The Economy Sucks, Let's Party Tour" kicks off Jan. 12 in Detroit, with the aforementioned opening acts (along with additional support from New York indie-rockers Fireworks), and will hit 22 cities over the first two months of 2010, concluding Feb. 6 date in the band's hometown of Pittsburgh, PA. Details are included below.

"The People or the Gun," Anti-Flag's ninth studio album, surfaced in June on the SideOneDummy label, as the band returns to its indie roots after completing a two-record contract with RCA Records.

When purchased through independent record retailers, the new set includes a three-song EP, "Which Side Are You On?," featuring three previously unreleased tracks. The album's first track, "Sodom, Gomorrah, Washington D.C. (Sheep In Shepherd's Clothing)," can be heard streaming at the band's MySpace page.

Post-hardcore outfit Aiden continues to support its fourth studio effort, "Knives," which fans hailed as a return to the band's punk roots following the more tradition alt-rock stylings of 2007's "Convictions."

Toronto's hardcore Cancer Bats are currently working on a release for early next year entitled "Bears, Mayors, Scraps and Bones." The new album will follow last year's "Hail Destroyer."
