Album Chart: Whitney Houston's comeback album debuts at No. 1

Whitney Houston 's bid to revive her long-dormant music career is off to a noteworthy start as the resurgent diva claims the top of the US album chart with "I Look to You," her first new studio set since 2002.

With sales of 305,000 copies, "I Look to You" moved more than twice as many units as its closest competition, which earns the set a No. 1 debut on The Billboard 200 chart, according to Nielsen SoundScan retail figures as reported by Billboard. Trailing Houston by a large margin is Miley Cyrus ' "Time of Our Lives EP," which climbs one notch to No. 2 on sales of 153,000 copies.

"I Look to You" is one of six new albums debuting in the Top 10 this week, with Trey Songz 's "Ready" entering the chart at No. 3 on sales of 131,000 copies; Insane Clown Posse 's "Bang! Pow! Boom!" at No. 4 with 50,000 copies; Chevelle 's "Sci-Fi Crimes" at No. 6 with 46,000 copies; Pitbull 's "Rebelution" at No. 8 with 41,000 copies; and The Used 's "Artwork" at No. 10 with just under 35,000 copies.

Rounding out the rest of the Top 10 are Colbie Caillat 's "Breakthrough," which drops from No. 1 to No. 5 on sales of 47,000 copies; Kings of Leon 's "Only by the Night," down three places to No. 7 with 45,000 copies; Taylor Swift 's "Fearless at No. 9 with 35,000 copies.
