Album Chart: Michael Buble's 'Crazy Love' tops KISS

Thirty-five years into their recording career, KISS has landed their highest-charting album ever with "Sonic Boom," but the face-painted rockers fell shy of the top slot, which instead goes to Michael Buble 's sophomore studio set, "Crazy Love."

After spending only three days in stores, "Crazy Love" racked up sales of 132,000 copies, enough to claim the No. 1 slot on The Billboard 200 chart, according to Nielsen SoundScan retail data as reported by Billboard. Originally due to hit stores Oct. 13, the set's release was bumped up to last Friday (10/9), giving it an abbreviated sales week.

KISS' "Sonic Boom," available exclusively at Walmart, follows with a No. 2 debut after moving 108,000 copies during its first week in stores, marking the band's second-best sales week since SoundScan began tracking data in 1991, according to Billboard. The new album comes more than a decade after the group's previous studio set, 1998's "Psycho Circus," which debuted at No. 3 on first-week sales of 110,000 copies.

Toby Keith 's "American Ride" also makes a splash during its first week of release, notching sales of 90,000 copies to debut at No. 3.

The trio of debuts at the top of the chart push last week's No. 1 album, Barbra Streisand 's "Love is the Answer," to No. 4 with sales of 75,000 copies, followed by Jay-Z 's "The Blueprint 3" at No. 5 with 65,000 copies.

Rounding out the Top 10 are Luke Bryan 's "Doin' My Thing" at No. 6 with 58,000 copies; Mariah Carey 's "Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel" at No. 7 with 54,000 copies; Miley Cyrus ' "The Time of Our Lives" at No. 8 with 47,000 copies; Backstreet Boys ' "This Is Us" at No. 9 with 42,000 copies; and Breaking Benjamin 's "Dear Agony" at No. 10 with 41,000 copies.
