Yellowcard singer to have surgery, some dates postponed

Yellowcard frontman Ryan Key will undergo surgery to remove a cyst from his vocal cords, a procedure which will force the postponement of several shows the band has lined up for late May and early June.
Five of the tour's early June dates have already been rescheduled to early August, while the band hasn't mentioned yet if it plans to make up the three late May dates that will be affected by Key's surgery.
The band's schedule between now and May 7 will go on as planned, and include all the group's previously scheduled shows with openers Matchbook Romance and Hedley. Yellowcard's revised itinerary is detailed below.
"We're disappointed to be postponing these dates, but it's a relief to know the source of the problems I'd been having with my voice," Key said in a press release. "And it's much better to confront it now than later when it could be far more serious. But we'll be back on the road in June when we can give 100%. Our fans deserve nothing less."
