Taking Back Sunday plots summer trek with Angels and Airwaves
The tour, which gets underway June 22 in Jackson, NJ, will also feature Head Automatica in a support role for the two bands sharing the top bill. Angels and Airwaves--the new band of Blink-182 singer/guitarist Tom Delonge--is set to release its debut album, "We Don't Need to Whisper," in May.
"Louder Now" follows 2004's "Where You Want to Be," which debuted at No. 3 on The Billboard 200 album chart thanks to first-week sales of about 163,000 copies.
Taking Back Sunday--Rubano, lead vocalist Adam Lazarra, guitarist/vocalist Fred Mascherino, guitarist Eddie Reyes and drummer Mark O'Connell--broke through on the rock scene with its 2002 debut, "Tell All Your Friends."
"Tell All Your Friends" and "Where You Want to Be" are both certified gold, and have each sold about 700,000 copies, according to a press release.
