Bon Jovi sets up summer stadium shows

New Jersey rockers Bon Jovi , who have been working the road for months in support of last year's "Have a Nice Day," will keep up the pace with a series of stadium concerts this summer.

The group has unveiled a batch of July performances, most of which are set at baseball and football stadiums, including a two-night stand on its home turf at Giants Stadium. So far, stops are planned in seven cities, all of which will feature support from Canadian rock outfit Nickelback .

Tickets for all of the currently confirmed shows will hit the box office before the end of this month. Details are included in the itinerary below.

As has been the case during the tour's previous legs, one unsigned act from each city along the tour route will occupy the other opening slot. The local act will be chosen via the Saturn-sponsored Last Band Standing contest, details of which are still pending.

Jody Raffoul Band, which was the overall winner for the first leg of Bon Jovi's previous contest series--dubbed the Have a Nice Gig competition--will open the first of the two Giants Stadium shows. The overall winner for the tour's second leg--which will be announced soon--will open the second show.

Before tackling the newly announced stadium dates, Bon Jovi will mount a run through Europe, details about which are posted at the official Bon Jovi website.

Released last September, "Have a Nice Day" moved 201,881 copies during its debut week, marking a career-high first-week sales total for the group.
