Hootie & The Blowfish get 'Lucky' with more touring

Hootie & The Blowfish will spend much of the summer working the road as they continue to back their fifth studio album, last year's "Looking for Lucky."

The bulk of the group's itinerary runs from July 4 through early September, and is bookended by a smattering of April, May, June and October performances. Details are shown below.

Released last August, "Looking for Lucky" is the inaugural disc on Hootie & The Blowfish's new indie label, Sneaky Long Records, an imprint of Vanguard Records, with whom the band signed after parting with Atlantic.

The band began its live support for the set last summer, and recently began selling via its website downloadable versions of a number concerts recorded during the "Lucky" tour. More information is available at the group's site.

"Get Out of My Mind," the latest single from "Looking for Lucky," debuted on radio stations last month. The song sits at No. 21 on trade publication Radio & Records' latest Adult Contemporary National Airplay chart.

Hootie & The Blowfish recorded "Looking for Lucky" in Nashville with producer Don Gehman, who also produced the band's 1994 debut, "Cracked Rear View." That album--which features the hit singles "Hold My Hand," "Let Her Cry" and "Only Wanna Be with You"--remains the band's most successful release to date; the set is multi-platinum certified for shipping 16 million copies in the US.
