The East Los Angeles roots-rockers have spent much of the last year playing a special version of their show, presenting their album "Kiko" in full for concert audiences. Released in 1992, "Kiko" is considered by many listeners to be the band's masterpiece.

Los Lobos will kick off the latest incarnation of their almost endless road trek April 29 in Phoenix. Highlights of the band's current 2006 itinerary include a May 20 appearance at the Doheny Blues Festival in Dana Point, CA, which also features B.B. King and Etta James, among other performers, as well as a May 28 slot at the Santa Cruz Blues Festival in Aptos, CA.

Further down the road, the band will play several summer festivals, including Aug. 31's Long Island Summer Festival in Oyster Bay, NY, leading up to an Oct. 13 concert at the Walt Disney Concert Hall in Los Angeles.

Los Lobos' first live CD, "Live at the Fillmore," was released in March 2005. It followed on the heels of a 2004 DVD release from the same performance.

The band's most recent studio album, "The Ride," was released in 2004. A new Los Lobos studio album is said to be in the works for 2006, but the release date is still unknown.
