Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers will be back on the road this summer to celebrate their 30th anniversary, and plan to perform with some special guests--including Pearl Jam --on various dates.

So far, Petty and Company have confirmed that the run will launch June 9, and that Pearl Jam will be on board for a June 26-27 stand in St. Paul, MN, and a July 2-3 stand in Denver. Details are included below.

Additional dates haven't been announced, but plans call for more shows with Pearl Jam, as well as other "very special friends and opening acts," according to an announcement the band issued Wednesday (4/5).

Petty's website plans to offer ticket presales and other "special opportunities," the announcement said.

In addition to mapping out tour plans, Petty has also confirmed that he'll release a new album titled "Highway Companion" in July. A specific release date has not been announced.
