After canceling a handful of recent shows, Aerosmith [ tickets ] plans to resume its tour Sunday (3/19) with a gig in Montreal, a band spokeswoman said.

Since March 4, scheduled concerts in in Pensacola, FL; Lexington, KY; Manchester, NH; Hershey, PA; Wilkes-Barre, PA; and East Lansing, MI, were canceled, some with little notice. The reason was an unspecified illness.

"We have no information to report, other than what the local promoters have released," Aerosmith's spokeswoman said.

An e-mail from the Jack Breslin Student Events Center in East Lansing, where Aerosmith was scheduled to play with Cheap Trick on March 17, reads, "Due to an illness in the band, the Aerosmith date at the Breslin Center has been canceled. There is no plan to reschedule the date."

Frontman Steven Tyler is rumored to be the ill, but the band's camp hasn't confirmed those reports.

Aerosmith's setlist during the current tour has featured a number of the group's hits--including "Walk This Way," "Angel," "Dream On," "Dude (Looks Like a Lady)," "Sweet Emotion," "Janie's Got a Gun" and "Love in an Elevator"--as well as deeper cuts such as "Seasons of Wither" and "No More No More," and some covers, including The Beatles' "Helter Skelter," according to the tour's publicist.

In February, guitarist Joe Perry was nominated for a Best Rock Instrumental Performance Grammy in the 48th annual awards.
